Teachers demand long term loans 

During the celebrations of the annual teachers’ day that took place on Monday, teachers in Kabuga sector called upon government to increase access to long term loans  as a strategy of helping them implement developmental programmes.

Local guards arrested

At least two local defense security guards were arrested in Byimana Sector, Ruhango district for allegedly conniving with thieves who robbed Ntenyo market venders in Ruhango district for a period of over two months.

NUR students protest result check fee

Students of the Rwanda National University are complaining about the results fee charged by the administration. The amount of money charged for checking results is so high that they cannot afford it. The fee charged is Rwf 5,000.  

FDLR attacks convent

After kidnapping two clergy men, the FDLR have struck again, this time attacking  and looting the convent of the Marist Brothers of Nyangezi, in Walungu, on Tuesday.
