Muyikunde explained that Swipe Africa is an e-commerce-based company, "We sell Accessories and beauty products in Rwanda. We export high-quality perfumes and body lotions.

"She added that they partner with high-end brands and get products shipped to Rwanda.” Everyone needs high-quality lotions which work for our skins, she further said

Adding that, that's how she and the team got the idea of getting the most preferred brands of high-quality lotions and perfumes, bringing them near to the clients. "Before we joined the BK Urumuri program, we didn't have an idea of how to get out here and set a brand for our business."

Muyikunde said that she has learned to see the bigger picture of doing business.

"My eyes were opened to how people know about our business."Muyukunde said that "the most exciting part of BK Urumuri is the things we learned how the small things give you the bigger picture and the small things you ignore as an entrepreneur, it gives you a glimpse on how other business work and gives you long term skills to grow your business."

BK Urumuri Initiative is a brainchild of Bank of Kigali in partnership with Inkomoko that seeks to support 25 innovative entrepreneurs selected out of a pool of applicants.

The entrepreneurs undergo six months of training, consultation, and business assessment. They also get a chance to compete for zero-interest loans offered by the Bank of Kigali for their business development.

"I used to think social media is a tool to chat and talk with family and friends, but through the program, I realised that it can be a platform to market my products to a bigger audience," she said

She also said that BK Urumuri is a very wide and mind-opening program exposing you to the business world. The idea for our perfume business, swipeafrica.com, came to us when we noticed a lack of quality and niche fragrances in the market.
