With a lot of support, coupled with the spirit of patriotism, Rwandan musicians and fans, yesterday gathered at Amahoro stadium, at a press conference organised by Alpha’s family to encourage people to vote more and more.

In his remarks, Joseph Bizima, Alpha’s father said he is optimistic that Alpha will win the Tusker Project Fame 3 (TPF) competition, taking place in Kenya.

"From his childhood, Alpha liked music and he does it with a lot of passion,” Bizima said.

Speaking at the conference, Bizima appealed to Rwandans and music lovers to support Alpha, especially now that TPF competition is coming to an end.  

"The media and Rwandans can be saluted for the great work to support Alpha, but more votes are still needed for him to win,” Bizima said.

Intore Masamba praised Alpha, dubbing him a true talented musician.

Masamba, who also revealed that he one time cried during Alpha’s performance, said that he is already convinced that Rwanda’s sole remaining contestant will win the competition.

"I’m so proud of Alpha and all Rwandans who participated in TPF. I promise to support them to develop their music career,” Miss JoJo said.

Christian, who was on several occasions insulted by Judge Ian, said that Ian is just professional, only that he sometimes goes over board to insult contestants on stage.

Meanwhile, Alpha’s terrific vocal talent has not only thunderstruck the audience, or his fellow contestants, but to also the rough judges.

Tanzania’s judge Hermes said Alpha was bound to be superstar, while singer Juliana also lauded Rwanda’s new musical pearl. "Am so proud of you, you are a brand ready to sale records and change the world”

And the tough Ian branded him as Rwanda’s new musical prodigy. "Alpha means number one and today you are number one,” Ian said

In conjunction with the Ministry of Culture and Sports, the National Police, local musicians and fans, Alpha will be welcomed at Kigali International Airport next week, upon his return from Kenya.

And a hero’s party will be organised to congratulate the later for putting Rwanda on East Africa’s music map.
