RWANDA’S Mukura and Prince Louis of Burundi are set to cash in on ex-player Mohamed Gasana ‘Tchite’ Meme .
The clubs are set to split Rwf75m from Meme’s current club Racing Santander.

Mukura club president Abraham Nayandi told Times Sport yesterday that the money is in line with Fifa’s rule that home grown clubs are entitled to a certain fee for grooming the player.

"We have been in contact with Racing Santander and they have agreed to pay us €90000,” Nayandi said.

Meme started his footballing career with hometown club Dragon Super Rangers FC Nyakabiga before joining Prince Louis FC in 2001. In the same year, he won the Burundian League and was also named footballer of the year.

In 2002, he joined Mukura before moving to Belgium’s Standard de Liege in 2003.

That year, Meme established himself as a starter, scoring 21 goals in 58 matches during his three-year spell at the club.

In 2005-06, Tchite scored 16 goals to help Standard to a second spot finish in the Belgium top division.

He moved to Anderlecht the following season and was voted Belgian Player of the Year after scoring 20 goals to help the club win their 29th league title.

In 2007, Racing de Santander signed the striker as a replacement for Nikola Zigic who had crossed to Valencia.
