Women lawmakers under their umbrella group, Forum of Rwanda Women Parliamentarians (FFRP) will this weekend organise a charity football match with the aim of fundraising for the One Dollar Campaign at Amahoro stadium.
Robert Masozera, the Director General in charge of Diaspora Affairs, at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced yesterday that the female legislators will be playing against women expatriates.
The match to be played on Saturday is also meant to rally the country’s women behind the initiative.
One of the organisers, Alphonsine Mukarugema told The New Times yesterday that they were still in preparations and, final arrangements will be made once parliament business resumes.
Teachers trained to handle students with disabilities
Over twenty teachers from different schools over the weekend concluded training on how to care for the students living with disabilities.
The training which was held in Nyamata in Bugesera district was organized by the Adventist Development Relief Agency (ADRA) Rwanda.
