Deo Akope, arguably Uganda’s top golfer won the event after playing 139. The highlight of the two-day event was Akope’s three-under par 68 on Saturday.
Ruterana was pleased with his performance saying that he was getting in the right shape for next month’s Rwanda Open.
"To play the way I did on the Entebbe course was phenomenon. It’s never easy playing there,” Ruterana, who is on the verge of signing a mega sponsorship deal with Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), said.
Akope pocketed Rwf316.300 for the victory while Ruterana and Hakizimana settled for Rwf268,300 and Rwf219,700 respectively.
The duo has now turned its focus on this weekend’s Shell Open. The Frw1.46m event will tee-off this Friday.
