Ghana coach Otto Addo is confident that his charges will be looking forward to defeat Uruguay when the two sides meet at the Al Wakrah Sports Complex on December 2.

The South Americans deprived Ghana, and Africa, a historic semi finals berth in 2010 when Luis Suarez deliberately scooped out a Dominic Adiyiah goal bound header in the final minute of extra time. Striker Asamoah Gyan crushed the resultant penalty off the cross bar as Uruguay went on to win the game.

Addo is optimistic that his players would want to seek revenge when the two teams meet in the third game in Group H.

"I'm sure that’ll be in the back of the minds of some players because it was a decisive game, not just for Ghana but for Africa as a whole," Addo told Fifa.com.

Ghana are drawn in Group H alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.

The Black Stars will open their accounts against Portugal on November 24, before facing South Korea and Uruguay.
