Riam boss in court tomorrow

KIGALI - National Public Prosecution Authority (NPPA) has handed over the case of Rwanda Institute of Administration and Management (Riam) boss Marc Kabandana to court.This was revealed yesterday by the Deputy Prosecutor General, Alphonse Hitiyaremye. According to Hitiyaremye, Kabandana will be battling with pre-trial detention at Nyarugenge intermediate court tomorrow.

KIGALI - National Public Prosecution Authority (NPPA) has handed over the case of Rwanda Institute of Administration and Management (Riam) boss Marc Kabandana to court.
This was revealed yesterday by the Deputy Prosecutor General, Alphonse Hitiyaremye.

According to Hitiyaremye, Kabandana will be battling with pre-trial detention at Nyarugenge intermediate court tomorrow.

"We have completed our preliminary investigations and we have all necessary evidence to prosecute him,” he said.

Hitiyaremye said Kabandana will be tried along with three others, the Director of Administration and Finance (DAF), Faustin Mugisha, an accountant, Annet Mbabazi, and one Dominique Rwaka who is said to have masqueraded as a businessman.

Rwaka allegedly made proof of payment to the institution in the name of a non-existing supply company.

Both Rwaka and Mbabazi were arrested mid last week.
Kabandana is accused of misusing Rwf 203million and approving payment to a ghost suppliers.
