Singer and songwriter Dominique Niyigena a.k.a Big Dom graces the Sunday Magazine Cover this week. He talks about his music, being an inspiration to upcoming artists and his life outside the music scene.

Big Dom has been around for quite sometime. And if you’re a fan of Rwanda’s music, you’ll be able to recognise him.

The former lead vocalist of the Holy Jay Doves band, has staged several concerts as a solo singer, and has inspired very many young musicians into the industry.

Big Dom has always been in the news, despite the fact that he hasn’t released any other album after his famous "Ange Orange” album.

You may wonder what is keeping the star busy. Big Dom knows what he is up to, and what his fans are expecting from him.

The talented, artistic clear-voiced singer with the alluring body structure grew as an artist through the years, taking a journey he could not have imagined.

His voice is lovely and his lyrics are considerably great. He is an attention-grabber and he has managed to keep his flag flying at full mast.

"I love music, and it’s everything to me. I won’t deceive myself that I can ever feel comfortable doing any other profession than music,” he told the SundayMag.

Big Dom was one of the hottest musicians in 2005, and was also famous for his relationship with singer/dancer Masha, a half Rwandan-half Russian belle.
