Equity Market

Today the Rwanda OTC market recorded a turnover of Rwf 97,200 from 600 KCB shares traded in one transaction at the price of Rwf 162. The KCB shares closed at Rwf 162; a decrease of Rwf 3 from the previous closing of Rwf 165.

Tuesday on the Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE), a total of 999,200 shares were traded.  KCB shares traded within the range of 20.75 Kshs (Rwf156) high and 20.00 Kshs (151Rfw) low and closed at 20.25 Kshs (153 Rfw).

The NSE All share index went down -0.18 points to close at 67.21.

DSE (Dares Salaam Stock Exchange and USE (Uganda Securities Exchange) did not trade KCB shares.

The Bond Market:

On the bond market no transactions were recorded.  At the close of the business, Rwf 2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf 5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.

There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf 100.50.
