Police in Kanombe is holding 20 students of King David Academy in Nyarugunga sector in Kicukiro district after they destroyed school property worth millions in a strike. 
The property included furniture, computers and window glasses.

According to the Mayor of Kicukiro district, Jules Ndamage ,the incident happened during the night and that the police and district is doing everything possible to solve issues raised by the students.

In the meeting held with the students and the school administration, students complained about the kind of work they are exposed to that involves digging up ant hills.

"If what the students said is true, then there is a problem because students need proper care in their schools,” said Ndamage.

The headmaster, Isaac Byamukama, confirmed the arrest of the students and said most of them were in O’level.
