In many ways, Ruth Nirere a.k.a Shanel is a typical multitalented young Rwandan. And by the look of things, the sky is the limit for this pretty and very confident star.  
Shanel, is currently in Belgium, for a film shoot and a concert scheduled to take place this weekend, in Brussels.

The 23-year-old has starred major roles in two Rwanda films; ‘Le Jour Où Dieu est Parti en Voyage’, produced by Artemis and Mugho Productions and ‘Long Coat’, by Edward Bamporiki in 2009.

Shanel told (The New Times) that ‘Long Coat’ script won an award in Focus Feature/Africa First Festival in New York in September, 2008.

Meanwhile, Shanel recently launched her debut album entitled "Ndarota”.
