RWANDA’S Amavubi Stars are scheduled to regroup this Friday for their third round World Cup/ Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Algeria.
The national team will join camp nine days before the crunch away tie scheduled for October 11 in Blida.
Amavubi head Coach Branko Tucak has been closely monitoring the players in the on-going pre-season football tournament which winds up on Thursday.
However, the Croat is aware that he will be without Amavubi’s former captain Olivier Karekezi. The former team captain faces four-weeks on the sidelines after under-going a thigh surgery last week in Oslo, Norway.
But on the bright side, the Croat will have his influential midfield trio back. Patrick Mafisango, Mbuyu Twite and Jean Baptista Mugiraneza are all expected to feature after missing the Egypt return leg.
Mafisango and Mbuyu were suspended while Mugiraneza was out nursing a toe injury.
Meanwhile, Fifa has named the referees for the WC/CAN qualifier.
The officials include; centre referee Yakhouba Keita (Guinea), assistant centre referee, Buchi Moussa Kaba (Guinea), assistant referee Mamadou Alpha Diallo (Guinea), fourth official Mario Aboubacar Bangoura (Guinea), referee Assessor, Taoufik Adjengui (Tunisia), match commissioner, Boukhreiss Mohamed Salem (Mauritania) and safety officer, Bahou Mohamed (Morocco).
