Sports View Hotel employees including some Managers have been laid off following an incident involving the screening of a pornographic movie recently.

The incident allegedly took place at the hotel’s bar on the September 18, 2009.According to officials, all persons that were involved in the incident have been sacked while others were cautioned.

The Hotel Manager, Benjamin Mumo Wambua, told the Business Times that the hotel management has taken action against the culprits. He added that the hotel management regretted the act.

"We as the management of and staff of SVH treat each other and the hotels guests with respect and dignity and that incident is not in our line and way of operation,” Wambua said.

Wambua explained that the manager that was on duty, the supervisor on duty and other employees that management preferred not to name , were sacked with immediate effect. 

”It was the first time the irrespective act took place at the hotel premises and it the first and last, we apologize to the world and we extend our gratitude to the people who become our big eye and report about it in our absence” Wambua said.
