Tomorrow’s Tusker Project Fame eviction show in Nairobi is a make or break moment for Rwanda’s remaining representative, Alpha Rwirangira in the musical academy.

The hugely talented songster who has braved weeks of passionate musical grooming amidst cut-throat competition from the other contingents from Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania will be up for eviction alongside, Kenya’s Debarl and Nganga, Uganda’s Caroline.

Rwandan fans from all walks of life will be furiously SMSing "Tusker 3” to 123 today in a feverish attempt to keep one of our own in the house.

In an interview, Joseph Bizima, Alpha’s father, told The New Times that the entire family wishes him the best of luck to win.

"Alpha is talented in music. If he survives Saturday’s eviction and Sunday’s nomination, I’m sure he will,” Bizima said. "Participating in TPF was an opportunity for him to earn fame in the region.”

Commenting on his discipline in the house, Bizima said that Alpha is a well disciplined guy, and that is why he was chosen to head the house.

Tumayine Kalisa, a fan, added that the family is doing whatever it takes to vote for him and help to win TPF.

Aline, another of Alpha’s adoring fans in Kigali has been voting at least five times everyday this week and says that today she will definitely be texting away  all day.

"The Kenyans and Ugandans will be voting massively so, just as we did for Christian twice, we can keep Alpha’s hopes of winning the final prize.” She says enthusiastically. "He is a very talented performer and I will be rooting for him all the way.”

The 23-year-old, Alpha had enrolled in a music school to hone his guitar playing skills before his career defining stint in Nairobi, and winning a record deal will not be just a dream come true for the talented musician who comes from a musical family, but will raise the profile of Rwanda’s music industry a notch higher in the region.

The academy judges have notably commented on Alpha’s confidence and strong potential of success in the African music genre courtesy of his deep and rich vocal abilities.

Alpha can be saved by the academy fans, the faculty or the contestants who are not on probation, but the best way is for Rwandans to vote massively by sending the text "Tusker 3” to 123 as many times as possible before midnight today.
