Consider other teachers as well

I was delighted when I heard that in the next financial year the government is considering investing Frw 7.2 in the construction of both primary and secondary schools in Rwanda.

The funds will make it easier for Rwandan students to access the Masters degrees which were rather expensive for students to study abroad.

It is quite clear that education is one of the priorities of the current government. In good faith, the government has plans of uplifting academic standards in the country by promoting research programmes, science and technology and helping physically disabled children.

I urge the government to also make an allowance for expatriate teachers outside the ICT field of study. This will enable the education system in Rwanda to rapidly compensate for the lost years of turmoil and also catch up with the rest of the EAC.
