Following the meeting between the local football governing body, Ferwafa, top flight clubs and all second division clubs, it was agreed that the 2010 Peace Cup would start on November 29 with preliminary matches.

In the released fixtures, the top four clubs in the national league face crucial away matches in the last 16 stage.

Defending champions, Atraco will face minnows Aspor at Kicukiro as APR travel to Byumba for a stern test against Zebres. Gisovu Tea Factory will host Rayon Sport before a tough clash between Mukura and Espoir. 

Elsewhere, Nyanza will host Kiyovu, Electrogaz play host to Stella Maris, Aspej hosts police, Intare hosts Marines, AS Kigali travels to Sorwathe, Etoile de l’est host Musanze while Etincelles face Union FC.

Second division sides, Kibuye will play away to minnows Pepiniere; UNR hosts La Jeunesse, ISAE hosts Muhanga and Military plays away to Mukungwa respectively.

Meanwhile, Ferwafa is yet to confirm whether MTN Rwanda will continue their sponsorship.

Last season, the giant telecommunications group increased its sponsorship the package from Frw20 millions to Frw50 millions, an increase of almost 150%.

The hefty package saw clubs competing for total prize money of Rwf. 23 millions while the winner, Atraco pocketed Frw10m as cash prize a major increase from what APR took in 2008 when they defeated Atraco in the finals.

Mukura, APR and Rayon Sport pocketed Rwf7m, Rwf4m and Rwf2.5m respectively.

The other portion of the package (Frw27 million) covered expenses like administrative costs, communication, transport of participating clubs, referees and purchasing medals and the trophy.
