DUTCH Right to Play Judo players Dex Elmont and Ruben Houkes are in the country on a week-long visit. The athletes, who met Sports Minister Joseph Habineza and Rwanda Olympic Committee president Ignace Beraho yesterday, said that they were in Rwanda to see the sport grow.

The athletes, who met Sports Minister Joseph Habineza and Rwanda Olympic Committee president Ignace Beraho yesterday, said that they were in Rwanda to see the sport grow.
"We want to bring the sport to Rwanda,” Houkes, a silver medalist at the Beijing Olympic Games said.
Elmont, fresh from the European Judo Championship where he won a silver medal in the Lightweight category also added, "Playing Judo is a way of respect and we want to be role models to the children of Rwanda.”
During their stay, the athletes will visit Right To Play activities in Kigali and the Northern Province.
Right To Play is supported by some of the world’s top athletes. As role models, the athletes inspire children, raise awareness and promote opportunities for funding of different Right To Play programs.
