As Rwanda Tourism University College (RTUC) plans for the first ever beauty pageant, preparations to make it a success are in high gear.

Emily Atinda, the event’s organiser and RTUC Public Relations Officer, told contestants that the event portrays the real image of the institute.

"We can’t afford things like ‘another beauty contest flops’ we must prove the image of RTUC,” Atinda said. 

The event that will also see the institute launching a good customer care campaign will attract various key members of the business community, on October 2, at Sports View hotel, Remera.

Meanwhile, the contestants for the Mr. and Miss RTUC are undertaking a stiff training at Alpha Palace Hotel, Remera.

Some of the things they are being trained, include, the catwalk, music, dance and dramma.
