FRATERNE Rubangura stormed to his third win of the year after winning Saturday’s KCB Golf Open at the Par-72 Kigali Golf Course.
The national team golfer put a miserable East African Golf Challenge outing behind him to play two-over par 74, one stroke clear of his closest challenger Steven Katwiremu.
The handicap 04 player carded birdies on holes; 4 and 14 but bogeys on the 2nd, 5th and 18th hole meant that it was not over until the very last hole.
For his victory, he won himself a fully equipped golf bag, courtesy of Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB), the tournament sponsors.
