Francophone teams named

The Ministry of Sports and Culture yesterday revealed the travelling contingent for next week’s Francophone Games scheduled for September 27-October 6 in Beirut, Lebanon.

The Ministry of Sports and Culture yesterday revealed the travelling contingent for next week’s Francophone Games scheduled for September 27-October 6 in Beirut, Lebanon.

The 50-man team comprises of the U-20 national football team, an athletics team, table-tennis team and participants in painting, sculpture and dance.

Apart from Rwanda, other countries expected to take part include Armenia, Benin, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Canada, Ivory Coast, Cyprus, Belgium, DR Congo, Djibouti, Republic of Yugoslavia and Macedonia, France, Gabon, Greece, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Haiti, Luxembourg, Morocco, Mauritius, Monaco, Mozambique, Niger, Romania, Seychelles, Switzerland, Togo, Tunisia and Vietnam.

Junior Wasps (U-20 football team): Nsaganira Djuma, Mvuyekure Emery, Nshimiyimana Jean  Claude, Twizeyimana Egide, Kibaya Annuar, Habimana Eric, Twahirwa Bonfils Christian, Uwiringiyimana Amani, Sibomana Abouba, Mwizerwa Gadhi, Ndayishimiye Yussuf, Gashugi Abdul Karim, Hitimana Michel, Mwiseneza Djamar, Kwizera Ernest, Ngoma Heriman, Serugaba Eric, Sebanani Emmanuel, Ntamuhanga Tumaine, Tomislav Obradovic(coach), Nizeyimana  Felix(manager), Habimana Sosthene(assistant coach), Maniraguha Jean Claude(doctor), Nuhu Assumani(goal keeper’s coach).

Cultural Competitions: Richard Karekezi (painting), Jules Hagumimana (sculpture),
