Under the theme, ‘Ngoma’, Binamungu said that he wanted to reveal the richness of the Rwandan culture through the significance of drums and drumming.
Binamungu has practiced professional painting for 37 years and has become one of the biggest painting icons in the country.
As he received praise for his hard work from Joseph Habineza, the Minister of Sports and Culture, Binamungu revealed that he had taken two years to prepare the ‘Ngoma’ series.
This was clearly evident on his paintings which were a display of well framed and branded quality, professionalism and precision.
The painting exhibition is on display for 12 days at the hotel’s exhibition hall and the prices for the various paintings range from Rwf50, 000 to Rwf1million.
