Minister Musoni commissions school

NYAMASHEKE - The Minister for Cabinet Affairs, Protais Musoni, on Wednesday officiated at Nyanza School’s launch of the of the 9-year Basic Education programme at which he initiated the classroom building project, in Nyamasheke District.

NYAMASHEKE - The Minister for Cabinet Affairs, Protais Musoni, on Wednesday officiated at Nyanza School’s launch of the of the 9-year Basic Education programme at which he initiated the classroom building project, in Nyamasheke District.  

At the function in Bushekeli sector, Musoni implored parents to contribute towards the construction of more schools and classrooms.

"I want to thank every individual for your role and assistance towards the ongoing construction of classrooms in the district. In this light I also encourage you to put more effort in the implementation of this programme because we still have a long way to go,” he said.  

He urged parents and local leaders to always monitor the academic performance of the children, as part of owning the new education programmes.  

According to Nyamasheke District Mayor, Jean Batista Habyariman, the district plans to construct 63 classrooms in a period of three months.  

Meanwhile, Musoni also laid a stone foundation for two classrooms at Groupe Scolaire de Gisakura in the same sector.  

The Minister, who is also charged with following up various programmes in the district, is on a three-day tour of Nyamasheke.
