Despite the fact she was booted out during last week’s Tusker Project Fame academy, Rwanda’s Nina Bola still has all reason to be happy about her month long sojourn in Nairobi.

The talented budding Rwandan songbird, Nina demonstrated over four weeks, a voice full of variety and promise, an attitude that is posed to take her places. In addition, she has developed a superstar mentality alongside her humble personality that has won her an array of fans in the whole of East Africa.

Her three brushes with the feared probation list included her soulful rendition of Fire on the Mountain and more especially her performance of Congolese songbird Lokua Kanza’s Happiness.

Lokua’s song which in the first place unfairly got her in trouble unfairly remains one of the moments of artistic brilliance that will spur her to greater musical heights.

Apart form Nina’s wide array of linguistic abilities, the aspiring singer’s easy presence on the camera, gift of dancing and her great sense of self-belief as she showed after she was informed that her musical journey in the academy was over, are bound to assist her in the transformation into an artiste to reckon with.

Nina’s fluency in French, English, Swahili, Kinya-rwanda, Kirundi, Kikongo and Lingala will offer her an opportunity to grow her current fan base in East and central Africa and perhaps will go a long way to package her into a unique African artiste.

As she plans to return home, she should be thinking about taking time off to reflect from her journey through the last few weeks and focus on driving her new career in a focused and steady manner to higher levels.
