Last week the Rwanda Over The Counter (OTC) market recorded a turnover of Rwf66,000 from 400 KCB shares traded at the price of Rwf165.
The KCB shares closed at Rwf 165; an increase of Rwf5 from the previous week’s closing of Rwf160.
At the end of the session, 50,000 shares were on offer and no buyers.
On the Nairobi Stock Exchange, KCB shares traded mostly downward and on lower volumes compared to the previous week and the trading range was Kshs20.75 (Rwf155) and 22.25 Kshs (Rwf166).
Thursday, a total of 456,300 KCB shares were traded within the range of Kshs20.75 (Rwf155) and Kshs21.50 (Rwf160) and closed slightly lower at Kshs21.25 (Rwf159).
The NSE All share index went down 0.47 points to close at 67.87.
Dar-es-Salaam Stock Exchange (DSE) and the Uganda Securities Exchange (USE) did not trade KCB shares.
The Bond Market:
On the bond market no transactions were recorded. At the close of the business, Rwf2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.
There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf150 million on offer at Rwf100.50.
