KIGALI - The Cabinet presided over by President Paul Kagame, has appointed Amb. Claver Gatete Vice President (VP) of the National Bank of Rwanda (BNR). He has been serving the country as Ambassador to the UK.

According to a communiqué from the office of the Minister in charge of Cabinet Affairs, the cabinet Friday, also transferred Nkubito Bakuramutsa the deputy CEO in charge ICT/RITA in Rwanda Development Board (RDB) to the President’s office. Patrick Nyirishema will replace Bakuramutsa at RDB.

The same meeting, also appointed Ines Mpambara as the Director of Cabinet in the President’s Office. The post was previously held by Gen Frank Mugambage who was appointed Ambassador to Uganda.

Prosper Musafiri is now the new Director General of CEPEX replacing embattled George Katurebe who is on trial  for allegedly misusing public funds.

Firmin Karanganwa has also been appointed as First Secretary at the Rwandan Embassy in Kinshasa.
