Radio and Weasel have finally arrived in the country to prop up the launch of Rwanda’s upcoming star, Tom Close.
The Ugandan stars known for their hot "Bread and Butter” arrived yesterday afternoon aboard Rwandair and were received by a number of local artists. 

The ticked concerts are to launch Tom Close’s second album of 14 tracks ‘Sibeza’.

In a press conference held at Top Tower Hotel yesterday, Tom Close said his new album is collaboration of a score of local artists.

"All the songs are in Kinyarwanda and my message is about our social lives,” said Close. "The album is dedicated to God, my family and to all Rwandans.”

Radio congratulated Tom Close for his album, and urged Rwandans to support their local artists.

"Don’t buy our CDs or Akon’s before you buy from your own artists, because we already have support back home,” Radio urged.

"Also, don’t cherish foreign artists before you cherish your own artists. They need your support.”

Radio also said that Rwanda’s music industry is tremendously growing at an amazing rate, and its moving close to the level of Uganda.

Radio’s counterpart Weasel, who is a brother to Ugandan star Chameleon, took the opportunity to explain why he broke away from his brother’s music camp.

"We separated with Chameleon because the boat was very small and we could no longer fish in the same boat,” Weasel said. "We respect him because he is the man who brought us to Kigali for the first time.”

The singers are famous for their hit tracks that include; Zuena, Lwaki Onumya, Nakudata, Zuena, Sitani, and their latest hit Potential.

The ‘Nakudata’ singers will perform at the National University of Rwanda (NUR) on Sept 11, and 12, at the Petit Stade, Kigali.
