On Sunday night as I was watching Tusker project 3 on our beloved but sometimes annoying Rwanda Television, I wondered whether the national broadcaster had editors.

There was no change from the programme as it was recorded from Citizen TV of Kenya. Without any editing RTV relayed the reality show.

A situation arose where RTV carried adverts suited for the Kenyan audience; not only show the unserious ness of the people at RTV but also their lack of professionalism.

Instead of carrying those adverts, RTV would have used it as an opportunity to make more money by carrying local adverts.

Showing us what was programme was up next on Citizen TV and keeping telling us that the programme was live talks volumes about the nature of people at RTV.

What surprised me most was that RTV also carried Citizen TV’s news headlines. Please the powers at RTV help the nation and look into your editing.
