The 2022/23 Rwanda national football second league starts on November 12, according to fixtures released by the local football governing body on Thursday, November 10.
Etoile de L’ EST will start their campaign hosting last season’s semifinalists, Interforce, at Ngoma stadium on the opening day, with last season's runners-up, AS Muhanga, taking on Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle at Umuganda Stadium.
Former Rwandan Premier League side, Kirehe FC, will start their new season against Aspor. Ivoire Olympique will host Impeesa FC on the same day, Sunday, November 13.
Rwanda's second league comprises 20 clubs divided into two groups.
Group A: Etoile de L’EST, La Jeunesse, Impeesa, Ivoire Olympique, Vision Jeunesse Nouvelle, Kirehe, AS Muhanga, Interforce Aspor and Vision FC.
Group B: Gicumbi FC, Alpha FC, Nyanza FC, Heroes FC, Amagaju FC, The Winners FC, Intare FC, RugendeFC, Gasabo United and Esperance.
After the Group Stages, the top four teams in each group will play the knockout games. The four winners will play against each other and the two teams with the most points will book their spot in the 2023/24 Rwanda Premier League.
