Africa’s most anticipated entertainment reality series, Big Brother Africa 4 is set to kick off Sunday September 6.

For non-soccer fans, the good news is that BBA will give you some break from work, ‘booze’, clubbing, or even movies.

The reality shows will run for three months (91 days) and judging from the previous series, BBA 4 is predicted to be the most entertaining and intriguing show.

Also, according to the production company Endemol, the show has been revamped with new changes that include, the money prize doubling to US$200,000(Rwf100million).

There will be 40 cameras and100 microphones for more sight and sound capabilities to monitor the housemates.

The old rules banning conspiracy in the House have been lifted and contestants will be free to forge alliances and discuss strategy openly.

Audiences will be asked to vote for the housemates they want to see remain in the show rather than the housemates they want to see leave the house.

However, despite all the innovative changes, the banning of the shower hour from the series has caused furore across the continent, with viewers suggesting that the show may indeed flop.

Nigerian IK Osakioduwa will host the new show which will attract housemates from Ethiopia, Mozambique, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Nigeria, Zambia, South Africa, Ghana, Angola, Botswana, Malawi, Namibia and Zimbabwe.

Housemates’s identities are a closely guarded secret and we will only know them on Sunday evening when they (housemates) start arriving in the house.

The show will be airing on Dstv channel 198. Angolan Ricco Venancio won Big Brother 3 after stiff competition from Malawian Hazel Warren.
