Amavubi Star captain Olivier Karekezi is expected to starts in tonight’s Uefa Cup tie between his Swedish club Helsingborgs IF and Turkey’s Galatasaray.

The former APR star watched the first group H opener against Greek side Panionios GSS which ended in a 1-1 draw from the bench.

Meanwhile, star forwards Hakan Suker and Larsson will meet for a fifth time as Galatasaray AS play host to Helsingborgs IF in an intriguing encounter.

 Larsson played in four games for Sweden against Turkey, scoring in two, and last turned out at the Ali Sami Yen Stadium in a FIFA World Cup qualifier in September 2001.

With his side trailing to a goal from Hakan Sukur, Larsson hit an 87th-minute equalizer, and Andreas Anderson grabbed a winner in added time.

 Hakan Sükür has played in five games against Sweden, scoring twice.

Four of those five games saw him playing opposite Larsson - who was an unused substitute in the other match.

In the four previous games in which the two legendary strikers have met, honors are even, with Sweden and Turkey winning a game each and the other two matches ending in draws.

Both strikers are now 36. Hakan Sukur has scored 51 goals in 112 appearances for Turkey, making him the leading active international scorer in European football while Larsson scored 36 goals in 93 games for Sweden.

Galatasaray lost their opening Group H match 2-1 at FC Girondins de Bordeaux while Helsingborgs drew 1-1 at home against Panionios GSS.

With the Swedish season over now, Helsingborgs has finished eighth in the Allsvenskan league.

Their only way of ensuring a return to the UEFA Cup next season would be to win the competition.

Elsewhere in group H, FK Austria Wien is at home to section leaders Bordeaux in the tonight’s other game.
