Ruhango and Indangaburezi beat Gayisanziro and Luguru of Kenya to storm the volleyball finals of this year’s East African Secondary School Games being staged in Fort Portal, Uganda.

Ruhango saw off Gayisanziro in straight sets (3-0) while Indangaburezi battled hard before pulling off a 3-2 win.

In Handball, Cyuru’s fairy tale run came to an end after a narrow 17-18 defeat against Kenya’s Mukumu.

Apapeb also reached the girls’ football final after overcoming St. Theresa of Kenya 1-0.

It is the first time Rwanda has fielded three teams in the finals of the competition.
