Rwanda static in latest Fifa Rankings

RWANDA remained still in the latest Fifa/Coca Cola world rankings released yesterday in Zurich, Germany. Despite losing 1-2 to Tanzania in last month’s Fifa international friendly, the Amavubi Stars maintained their 117 world ranking but moved a slot up on the continent (from 31 to 30).

RWANDA remained still in the latest Fifa/Coca Cola world rankings released yesterday in Zurich, Germany.

Despite losing 1-2 to Tanzania in last month’s Fifa international friendly, the Amavubi Stars maintained their 117 world ranking but moved a slot up on the continent (from 31 to 30).

Group C rivals Egypt moved up a slot in the world rankings to 32nd while Algeria also rose by three places to 44th. Zambia dropped four places to 81st.

In the Cecafa region, Uganda maintain their lead at the summit after moving three places to 72nd position on the Fifa rankings and 14th in Africa.

Tanzania dropped one place to 94th while Sudan dropped by five places to 96th.Ivory Coast tops the CAF rankings, followed by Cameroon, Egypt and Ghana.

Meanwhile Brazil is unmoved at the top of the World ranking while Spain and the Netherlands follow in second and third place.
