On Friday November 2, the Ministry of Education in conjunction with FAWE Rwanda and (PACFA) Protect Families and Children Against HIV/Aids awarded Frw 1.000.000 to four primary schools that excelled in various educational aspects in Kamembe sector, Rusizi district.
The competition focused on discipline, general cleanliness, academic performance and strong sports. What is actually thrilling to note is that girls’ education in Rwanda is being appreciated and brought to the fore front.
For a long time, traditional ties have been a setback to the females’ education. I am hopeful that this will eventually groom women into perfect role models of this country.
