The Equity Market

Today the Rwanda OTC market recorded no transactions. On Friday 28th August, The Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) had a total of 107,100 KCB shares traded.

Theses shares traded between 19.50 Kshs (Rwf145) and Kshs 20.50(Rwf153) to close at 19.80 Kshs (Rwf148).

The NSE all share indexes closed -0.33 points down to close at 67.20. The trading volumes were also lower than the previous day; 7,279,600 shares were traded on Friday while 14,524,600 shares had been traded on Thursday.

DSE (Dares Salaam Stock Exchange and USE (Uganda Securities Exchange) did not trade KCB shares.

The Bond Market:

On the bond market no transactions were recorded.

At the close of business, Rwf 2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf 5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.

There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf 100.50.
