CAF Confederation Cup: Imanishimwe secures group stage berth with FAR Rabat

Rwandan defender Emmanuel Imanishimwe will be playing in the Group stage of the 2022-23 CAF Confederation Cup with FAR Rabat after they defeated Djoliba Club from Mali 4-0 on aggregate.

Rwandan international Emmanuel Imanishimwe will play in the group stage of the 2022/23 CAF Confederation Cup with AS FAR Rabat.

The Moroccan giants defeated Malian outfit Djoliba 4-0 at the Prince Abdellah Mouley Stadium in Rabat on Wednesday, November 9 after drawing goalless in the first leg in Bamako.

Imanishimwe who has started every game for the Moroccan Army side this season was instrumental as goals from Reda Selim, Rabie Hrimat, Hamza Igmane and Monteiro Borges saw FAR Rabat book their ticket to the next stage of the competition.

The draw for the group stage of the 2022/23 CAF Confederation Cup competition will be held in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on November 16.

FAR Rabat are second in the Botola League table with 15 points from seven games.

Imanishimwe is among FAR Rabat’s best players so far this campaign.
