A children’s workshop is taking place for two weeks, at Annuarita conference hall in Nyamirambo.

Children are learning about now their freedom can be violated when their rights are denied.  The workshop has attracted various Children Associations around the country as well as representatives from other countries like; Uganda, DR Congo, Tanzania, and Ethiopia.

During the workshop, Rwanda’s delegate, Marcel Sibomana commended the workshop as a chance for children to learn their rights. 

"Children are oppressed based on ignorance about their rights. But once they realize their rights, these tendencies become limited,” said Sibomana. 

He also urged children to grow-up as responsible citizens because in Rwanda, they are encouraged to exercise their freedom and participate in decision making.
