Let’s build self confidence among our youth

Editor,

All people’s accomplishments the world over have one similarity- this is the fact that all the brains and talents behind these achievements believed in themselves before taking the first step.

I have noticed that a big segment of our youth here don’t believe in themselves, they don’t try out anything because they think for some strange reasons they are not capable of doing something and they end up not even trying.

My appeal to everyone in leadership positions or in any strategic position is to devote some time and at least talk to two youths every day, in a way of strengthening their self-esteem, and building their confidence so that they can actually make things happen.

Some people who can’t speak English perfectly have decided to shy away from responsibilities and opportunities for fear of being embarrassed, but it so happens that these people have languages they can speak well like French.

This is wrong because money knows no language, so just use any that it  comes your way.

The youth should  wake up from their slumber and realise that they have a lot of unexploited potential they should ignite and transform into money, so let me hope that next time I will be writing a letter it will be to thank you for making money.
