KARONGI- A man who allegedly threatened to kill his neighbour after uttered  threats based on ethnic grounds, on Wednesday, appeared in the Karongi High Instance Court where he was formally charged.

Eugene Ndacyayisenga, 23, is accused of threatening to kill his neighbour only identified as Gaspard.

It is alleged that Ndacyayisenga, said that had he been an adult in 1994 he would have participated in the killings.

Prosecution argued that Gaspard’s life is in danger, also requesting the court not to grant the suspect bail on grounds that he could disappear.

Ndacyayisenga who faces at least two years in jail if convicted, denied the charges.
