STEVEN Sibomana and Fotanine Mukamuhizi have been chosen to represent Rwanda at the upcoming Francophone games in Beirut, Lebanon.

The pair could be making their maiden appearance in an international event but Rwanda’s table tennis federation head Medard Rutayisire has backed them to fight on in the games which are slated to run from September 25 to October 6.

"They could be short on the world stage but have plenty of experience after playing many tournaments on the local scene,” said Rutayisire.

Meanwhile, 15 local coaches yesterday wrapped up a three-day training clinic at NPC Gymnasium.

The clinic was conducted by former German table tennis star Pascal Kronenberger.
