The 2022/23 Rwanda Premier League season has already been a great one with eight games played. Quality football was displayed with some of the players on top of their game.

Times Sport takes a look at the five best players in the Rwanda Premier League, so far, in the ongoing 2022/23 season after eight games.

Moro Sumaila (Etincelles)

Despite the uninspiring form of the Gisenyi based club in the ongoing season, having won two, drawn three and lost three games, Sumaila has been by far the best player in the league.

The Ghanaian lethal weapon netted four goals and provided five assists in eight games.

He has scored against two of the big clubs; Kiyovu and AS Kigali. With five assists, Moro has shown that he is not only clinical but also a team player.

All of Moro's goals were scored in open play.

Onesme Twizerimana (Police FC)

The flamboyant attacker is on top of the goal king race with five goals from eight games.

Out of the goals he scored, four were from open play with one being a penalty against APR.

Twizerimana is undoubtedly the live wire of Police FC and has been in fine form this 2022/23 season.

Hussein Shaban (AS Kigali)

The Burundian forward who was the league's top scorer for the 2021/22 season has netted four goals already this season with no assist.

Hussein seems not to have found his rhythm yet. He missed glaring chances in some of the games he played.

With four goals already, Hussein is tied with Moro Sumaila on second place in the goal king chart.

Peter Agblevor (Musanze)

The Musanze FC new signing netted twice this season and provided four assists in the seven games played. He scored a spectacular long range effort against defending champions APR FC in Kigali on his debut.

The Ghanaian striker was very vital to Musanze FC's impressive start to the 2022/23 season.

Samuel Ndizeye (Rayon Sports)

The Burundian guardsman was a pillar at the back of the "Blues" defense as they sit on top of the league table even though they have played fewer games.

Rayon are unbeaten in six games and the telepathy among their defenders was their main strongest point.

Ndizeye who is the deputy skipper of the team was ever present at the back with outstanding performances.
