From the IPRC-Kigali Ecology Tennis courts backdrops, I&M Bank (Rwanda) Plc is seen among key sponsors of the ATP Challenger 2025 whose first week left Frenchman Valentin Royer lifting the ATP Challenger 75 trophy.

The sponsorship reaffirms the bank’s commitment to supporting sports development in line with both its strategic goals and Rwanda’s national vision.

Speaking after the final match on Saturday, March 1, Fiona Kamikazi, the Head of Marketing and Communications at I&M Bank (Rwanda) Plc, highlighted the Bank’s motivation to sponsor sports.

"We recognize the value our country places on sports development. As I&M Bank, we are committed to contributing to this growth, both locally and internationally,” Kamikazi said.

While Royer emerged the men’s singles the champion after defeating Slovakia’s Andrej Martin in straight sets 6-1 6-2 Dutch duo Jesper De Jong and Max Houkes won the men’s doubles trophy after beating Geoffrey Blancaneaux and Zdenek Kolar in two sets in the final.

Minister of Sports, Nelly Mukazayire, acknowledged the crucial role played by sponsors and partners in making the tournament a success.

"We appreciate our sponsors and partners. Your dedication has been instrumental in delivering such a remarkable event,” she said.

"We have witnessed young talents grow, and together, we will continue to nurture them so that they can compete in future tournaments of this caliber. Our goal is to see Rwandan players not only reach finals but go beyond,” she added.

The ATP Challenger 75 Tour took place from February 24 to March 1. Up next is the ATP Challenger 100 Tour, scheduled for March 3–9.

These tournaments are among five events organized within the ATP Challenger Tour (ranking between 50 and 175), offering 75 and 100 ranking points, respectively.
