I’m writing in response to what was reported in yesterday’s New Times about one Jean Damascene Manizabayo a house boy in western province who murdered his boss’s three children in cold blood.

This happened after he raped or defiled one of the victims and took off to hide away from justice.

Happily, he  could not run away from the long arm of the law. It might be too late to save the children but it’s not late to exercise the law.

The inhuman excuse that this monster gave was that he was possessed by evil spirits which compelled him to kills these infants. Indeed he could have been possessed by why did he not kill those from his own family where he went to hide?

The courts of law should pass a stern punishment to this killer that will serve as a lesson to all people who have the same kind of thinking.

Though this may not bring back the lives lost, people will be satisfied that the justice system works and justice is done.
