A mega music concert to be held at Amahoro Stadium, will mark the height of the Primus golden jubilee celebrations held over the past four months to mark the 50 years of existence Rwanda’s prime lager.
The festivities will be crowned by a concert at the National Stadium, this Saturday, with performances by Nigeria’s P Square, Democratic Republic Congo’s JB Mpiana and Uganda’s Blu3.
Curtain raisers will come from several local artists.
The festivities dubbed "50 Primus Guma Guma,” have been running since May and have featured raffle draws with prizes that include; mobile phones, television sets, and solar lighting systems among others.
In an interview, Bralirwa Primus Brand Manager, Jean Pierre Uwizeye, said that the running consumer promotion coupled with a grand party this weekend will be in celebration of Primus’ performance as a leading beer in the country.
"When we started we covered over 90 percent of the beer market, we are celebrating this great performance with our consumers through the prize give away and the grand party set for this weekend,” said Uwizeye.
Bralirwa, which is the country sole beer producer posted Rwf 6bn profit last year and has sunk an estimated US $1m in the ongoing promotions.
Uwizeye noted that the grand party will host the final raffle draw that will see one person walk away with the Toyota Hilux Pick-up on display at the KBC round about.
"The corporate celebrations will be hosted in Gisenyi the location where Primus was first launched in 1959.
As Bralirwa, in celebration of good partnerships with our customers we are promising more quality and customer satisfaction,” Uwizeye said.
Primus, Bralirwa leading brand, was first launch 50 years ago in Gisenyi.
