The Equity Market

Today Rwanda OTC market recorded no transaction at the close of business.

Friday14th of August, Nairobi Stock Exchange (NSE) had a total of 345,100 KCB shares were traded. KCB shares traded between 22.00 Kshs(Rwf163) and Kshs 22.50(Rwf169) to close flat at 22.00 Kshs (Rwf 167).

The NSE all share indexes closed up 0.15 points to close at 71.27. The trading volumes were also lower than the previous day; 15,217,700 shares were traded on Friday while 16,281,800 shares had been traded on Thursday.

DSE (Dares Salaam Stock Exchange and USE (Uganda Securities Exchange) did not trade KCB shares.

The Bond Market:

On the bond market no transactions were recorded.

At the close of business, Rwf 2 billion worth of Government bonds were on offer (sellers) at Rwf 99.8 and there were two bids (buyers) of Rwf 2 billion and Rwf 5 million for the same bonds at 94.00 and 97.80, respectively.

There were also BCR bank bonds worth Rwf 150 million on offer at Rwf 100.50.
