An East African business delegation, led by Rwanda’s Minister of Commerce, Monique Nsanzabaganwa, arrived in Israel on Sunday, in search of investment partnerships for the regional trading bloc.
An East African business delegation, led by Rwanda’s Minister of Commerce, Monique Nsanzabaganwa, arrived in Israel on Sunday, in search of investment partnerships for the regional trading bloc.
The delegation is on a five-day tour sponsored by the American Jewish Committee’s (AJC) project interchange.
According to AJC, one of the goals of the visit by EAC delegation is to explore opportunities in bilateral trade, development and medicine.
The group is meeting with Israeli officials, NGO directors, academics and captains of industry.
Among the high-profile Israelis appearing on the delegation’s itinerary are Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, top Foreign Ministry officials, well-known research scientists at the country’s most influential universities, and business leaders in the agriculture and hi-tech sectors.
Nsanzabaganwa is also expected to visit the Hadassah Hospital’s Trauma Unit and School of Public Health, and take part in a seminar at the Yemin Orde Youth Village.
According to media reports, the delegation is expected to address several conferences with an opportunity to identify partners to invest in the sectors of tourism, mining, energy, financial services, ICT and infrastructure.
