Reliable sources, who preferred to remain anonymous, confirmed to Times Sport that APR are interested in the talented shot-stopper.
"We have interest in Ndayishimiye and there has been talks between both parties (club and player).
"Nothing has been agreed yet but we still have up to September 30 to either reach an agreement with him or forget about him,” the source said.
Ndayishimiye is second choice to current APR goalie Jean Claude Ndoli at the national team level.
He helped Atraco win the 2007/08 national league title and was a key figure to their success in this year’s Cecafa/Kagame Club Championship title as well as MTN Peace Cup.
APR are searching an established keeper after their long-serving Aime Ndizeye ‘Ndanda’ released last week.
The ex-Burundian international was among six players the league champions let go to create space for new recruits.
Other players who were offloaded include; Masudi Kaka, Christian Uwumukiza, Eric Serugaba, Basile Bazibuhe and Kimalwa wa Mwembu.
