Much as media is meant to improve people’s welfare through its informative approach, the norms regarding the profession has been tarnished by the villainous, real self seekers, pretending to be mouth pieces of the public.

Factually, the venom that is injected into the masses in the name information, acts as a reminder of the holocaust that befell Rwanda.

It was planted and nurtured by the pioneer post independence Republic, subsequently weeded by the then media houses.

Todate, some of the media practitioners are resorting to the bad old days where media companies were fanning hatred based on ethnicity and regionalism, which consequently culminated into the three consecutive Genocides, starting from 1959.

Because of shame, the likes of such media houses claim to be under harassment, lest threatening to close pending for further explanation from the government.

Let escapism be put aside, and face the realities, after all before judging others, you have first to look into your eyes so as to remove the log from your own eye.

Some of these guys have gone as far as forfeiting workers’ salaries, they have additionally defaulted house rents and other numerous ills that characterize thugs, and so from this point of view, media should always think twice before misinforming the Rwandans.
