APR Athletics club has been invited to participate in next month’s the Abidjan military games.

A team of seven athletes has already been named. It includes; Jean Baptiste Simukeka, who is currently based in Italy, Eric Sebahire, Belgian based Gervais Hakizimana, Godfrey Rutayisire, Lambert Nyabamikazi, Claudette Mukasakindi and Genessie Nyirahabimana.

They will run in the different categories of 1500m, 5000m, 10.000m and the Steeple Chase.

According to coach Innocent Rwabuhihi, the team is very strong and has a lot of experience in international competitions.

"I have a strong team that is capable of dominating the games comfortably. All the seven athletes have enough experience competing in international events,” Rwabuhihi said.

APR Athletics club has produced some of the country’s leading like Disi Dieudonne, Angelique Nyiransabimana and Gervais Hakizimana.
