KAYONZA -   An ADPR Church pastor from Kayonza died instantly after a speeding car hit him on Monday night.

The pastor only identified as Kagabo was knocked down while ridding a bicycle coming from his routine church work.
The accident occurred at Mukarange on Kigali-Kayonza highway at 8.40 pm.

"The car was so fast and never stopped after hitting the man,” an eye witness said. "It looked like double tragedy after another speeding car from opposite direction also ran over the body.”

Shocked residents, who arrived at the scene of the accident moments after, said they found the body lying in a pool of blood after it was smashed by a second speeding car from the opposite direction.

Residents say that motorists drive recklessly whenever traffic officers are not at work. "We need a 24 hours vigilant traffic police, if we are to survive accidents,” an angry resident said.
